The Time We Celebrated Pregnant Aunt Bronwyn

You are always a very special guest to have at a party. I always ask to be sure but I know what the answer will be ... you are invited! Other babies are not as pleasant. They cry. They are a handful. They distract and whine. But you... you are a peach. Everyone dotes on you and your beautiful eyes and your happy demeanor. Some moms want their own time and space but I love taking you everywhere. I hope your Aunt Bronwyn gets to be so lucky with her new baby boy that we soon will meet.

The Time We Celebrated Your First V-Day

Happy First Valentine's Day! After nine Valentine's day dates with your daddy, for the tenth I shared my Valentine with you. Your first Valentine is definitely your daddy. He loves you so much and you are such a daddy's girl. Daddy bought us beautiful flowers and took us to eat at Maggiano's. You can't appreciate it now, but we love their food and daddy used to work for them when we were in undergrad. It was a great lunch date and then you and daddy took me to work. You and daddy shared the rest of the afternoon together hanging out. Since you were having so much fun, I got to come home to a little Delilah who did not want to go to sleep and we lived up your first Valentine's Day all the way until the 15th at 1 AM when you finally decided to zonk out.

The Time She Got Mobile

Oh boy, what have we gotten ourselves into here. She's mobile as of today. This weekend I saw a few scoots and baby development again just floors me. You learn to inch and you go the mile! It is incredible how you were just barely managing to discover this new skill over the weekend then today you just busted it out. You just kept going and going and I'm guessing we are going to have our hands full as you get better and better. Time for safety proofing. The funny thing is how we motivated you enough to turn the motor skills on. The wipes. You really like the crinkling of the wipes containers. So stinking cute. All number of toys you have and the wipes get you moving. As you have continued to improve, you have started making a fast move for me and daddy too. You look at us and you start moving towards us. So cute. Love you!

The Time You Turned Six Months

You just keep getting older and older and even cuter than we thought possible. Your big, bright blue eyes seem like they are here to stay and your smile just keeps beaming. You are such a joyful and happy girl and you bless me and your daddy with so much happiness every day. We experienced your first illness this month along with me and daddy looked like we all had the flu. While it was not particularly fun for any of us, we were heartbroken that you felt so miserable. You are such a trooper and you have forged through to see another month with all new possibilities. You are so on the verge of movement and just cannot be satisfied with an immobile life. You are going to be a handful when you can finally get moving but I think you will be so excited and liberated that it will be a joy to watch you go. I cannot believe it's been half a year since you were born already and nearly 15 months since we got pregnant with you. How times flies! Keep growing my beautiful princess. You are a wonder to watch grow and learn.

Other highlights this month:
1) You started enjoying squash, applesauce, and peaches
2) You started showing more smiles and giving us a few more giggles
3) You are getting more and more active and though you can't crawl you seem to use me and daddy like a jungle gym some how
4) We keep trying to get you to sleep in your own bed but you still aren't having it
5) You found out that you will have a new cousin this year
